Dawson Creek RCMP recently found a unique underground grow operation in a rural area. In an underground bunker constructed out of a Sea-can police seized 37 cultivating marijuana plants along with marijuana bud valued at $30,000 and several firearms.

In an underground bunker constructed out of a Sea-can police seized 37 cultivating marijuana plants along with marijuana bud valued at $30,000 and several firearms.

A 35-year-old male and 30-year-old female, both of Dawson Creek, were arrested at the bunker which was located under a large shop on the property.

The accused face a number of charges including marijuana production, trafficking, theft and firearm-related offences. The two will appear in court Sept. 21. Sea-cans are containers used for storage or shipping.
