A ladies-only event taking place at the end of February is bringing together cuteness and entertainment to help raise funds for a local animal shelter.

The Prince George Humane Society is hosting Diamonds Are Fur-ever, a fundraiser event in which 100 per cent of the proceeds going to help dogs in need of extra care.

“It’s all about bringing women together so they can let their hair down and we can showcase what we do,” says Angela McLaren, the founder and executive director of the Prince George Humane Society.

"If we don’t have the support of the community, we can’t keep our doors open."

The girl's night out theme, according to McLaren, is set to be echoed wall to wall at the Coast Inn of the North hotel.

Hurly Burly Delicious Dozen is the headlining act and will be baring almost-all to raise money for the Prince George Humane Society in a number of ways.

This includes selling 50/50 tickets, hosting the Heads and Tails game, posing for photos and walking down a runway with dogs in the Society's care.

Attendees are advised the animals coming to the show can also be adopted at the show, if residents feel inclined to do so.

Emcees and a DJ will provide laughs and music to Diamonds are Fur-ever, in which PrinceGeorgeMatters is the title sponsor.
