The George Thorogood & The Destroyers concert scheduled for April 30 in Prince George has been canceled.

George Thorogood and his band The Destroyers won’t be playing CN Centre in Prince George on Sunday, April 30.

The 73-year-old rocker from Delaware has been diagnosed with a serious illness that forced the band to cancel 18 concerts scheduled for this spring in Canada and the United States.

”With great sadness, we must announce the cancellation of our Canadian and U.S. tour dates from April 27, 2023, through May 21, 2023,” the band announced on its Facebook site. “George has been diagnosed with a very serious medical condition that will require immediate surgery and quite a few weeks of recuperation and healing.”
“You, our fans, mean the world to us, and we know this news is not want you wanted to hear, but rest assured George Thorogood & The Destroyers will be back. We’ll keep you updated as we know more.”

Tickets refunds for the Prince George concert will be available starting on Tuesday, April 25.

Ticket-purchasers who used a credit card will automatically be refunded. Those who paid cash or used a debit card can obtain their refunds at the TicketsNorth box office at CN Centre, but not before April 25th.
