One hundred hampers for one hundred families is a fundraising initiative to make sure families at Ron Brent school have food over the two-week Christmas break.

During the school year, many students receive a hot breakfast and lunch and can even take food home as part of a program funded by School District No. 57 (SD57) for schools that have a high population of families in need.

To help raise money for the hampers, the organizers arranged a fundraising competition between pubs in the community.

The top fundraiser for the pub competition to raise money to feed one hundred needy families over the Christmas two week school break was Nelly's, which raised over $1,000.

In recognition of that, they were awarded the "Top Fundraiser" trophy by Phil Ramage, one of the leaders of the fundraising team.

“What an incredible staff at this pub! Well done to all of them,” said Ramage.
