Fundraiser dinner to benefit development agency

The 21st annual fundraising dinner in support of the Samuha Overseas Development Association (S.O.D.A) will take place on Oct. 21.

The 21st annual fundraising dinner in support of the Samuha Overseas Development Association (S.O.D.A) will take place on Oct. 21.

Hilary Crowley, president of the Prince George-based charity, said she's thankful for the continued support from community members in helping bring physiotherapy services to those in need in Samuha, southern India.

S.O.D.A. continues to address the needs of those disabled in the area who require corrective surgery, mobility equipment, orthotic and prosthetic supplies and rehabilitation services.

The dinner and silent auction is S.O.D.A's largest fundraiser, complete with entertainment, Indian food and a slide show highlighting the charity's work in Samuha.

The event will take place on Oct. 21 at the Hart Crown Banquet Hall.

Tickets to the dinner are by donation.

To reserve a seat, email [email protected] or call 250-617-3464.

Those unable to attend the dinner who would like to donate can visit www.samuha.ca.
