A rather freak accident near Williams Lake occurred May 27 when a motorcyclist on Highway 97 South caught his sleeve on his handlebar, causing the bike to veer into oncoming traffic.
The biker side-swiped a motor home as it passed, and the bike slid down the road after separating from the rider.
The incident, occurring near Knife Creek Road, closed the highway for an hour, and the bike rider was transported to hospital, treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
