Forest road crash was single-vehicle

A Supreme Court Justice's ruling that absolved the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia from compensating a man for injuries suffered in an accident on a forestry road may not have as widespread implications as first feared.

A Supreme Court Justice's ruling that absolved the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia from compensating a man for injuries suffered in an accident on a forestry road may not have as widespread implications as first feared.

Court documents related to the case show that the accident in question involved a single vehicle that went off the road. In a statement issued Wednesday, ICBC spokesperson Adam Grossman said that in the event of a two-vehicle collision on such a road, ICBC's coverage would remain in effect for the insured motorist.
