The Polar Coachmen Fly Fishing Club is holding an open house on Thursday evening at UNBC.

"Whether you are just learning about fly fishing or your kitchen table is covered in fly tying gear," it's open to everyone, club member Glen Mikkelson said.

It's a chance to meet with other anglers, regional fishing experts, the creator of the Angler's Atlas, and get excited about the upcoming fishing season. It's also a chance to meet the club's two authors -- Brian Smith, who wrote A Fly Fisher's Guide to the Central Interior and North Cariboo Waters and Rob Bryce - who wrote Hiking North Central BC and Mountain Biking Prince George.

The event will be held in Room 6-205 next to the Canfor Theatre, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

For more information call Mikkelsen at 250-564-0820 in the evening.
