Flowers of hope

Easter will bloom brightly in the North with 200,000 fresh daffodils arriving for the Canadian Cancer Society's flower of hope campaign.

Easter will bloom brightly in the North with 200,000 fresh daffodils arriving for the Canadian Cancer Society's flower of hope campaign.

The Daffodil campaign launched today and the flower bunches will be available in northern communities March 26 to 28. In Prince George the flowers will be available at Costco, Save On Food stores and at CCS regional office located upstairs in the Barton Insurance building at 500 Victoria St.

This year's BC-Yukon campaign is one of kind across Canada, having being selected by the national society to spearhead this first distribution of new daffodil pins which will be made available at 30 businesses throughout the city and across the North on Saturday.

April 9 is Daffodil Day and the special time to the daffodil pins, which, like the flowers, are available for a donation. Read more by volunteers in The Citizen.
