One firefighter was injured responding a house fire on Abbott Crescent early Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called to the home in the 2400 block of Abbott Crescent at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday, and found smoke coming from the building.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire, but damage to the house was extensive. One of the 15 firefighters to respond to the blaze suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Fire crews were still on the scene later Saturday morning working to extinguish hot spots and investigate the cause of the fire.
