Purchase of a new pumper fire truck for the Red Rock-Stoner fire department was approved Thursday by Fraser-Fort George Regional District Directors.
The truck will be purchased from Rocky Mountain Phoenix for $262,715, the lowest of six bids submitted.
The fire department will cover the cost with a $250,000 down payment from its capital reserve and the rest will be financed over five years.
