You may see some smoke coming from the Prince George Airport (YXS) during the last two weeks of October.

That’s because the airport is conducting live-fire training.

Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas.

These fires are held in self-constrained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification.

They may also produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.

Training dates are as follows: Oct. 25, Oct. 29, Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.
