Prince George Fire Rescue crews were called to a house fire in the 7700 block of Moncton Crescent on Thursday afternoon.
Called to the scene at 3:30 p.m., they found a home filled with heavy smoke. The one person in the home at the time made it outside by the time firefighters had arrived and was treated for smoke inhalation.
A total of 15 firefighters from three halls responded and quickly knocked down the blaze, assistant chief John Heaslip said, but not before the home suffered roughly $100,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
