A home in the 100 block of Thacker Crescent was heavily damaged following a Sunday night fire.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the call that came in shortly before 8 p.m. to find the heavy flame and smoke coming from the back of the house and the roof, according to deputy chief John Iverson.
"There's extensive damage inside the house and exterior and the roof. Initial reports indicate that it's accidental," he said.
According to witnesses, one person was taken away by paramedics and one cat was rescued from the residence, however Iverson could not confirm those details as of press time.
