Smoke coming from the back of a house in the 5000 block of Heyer Road was reported at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
There were 14 firefighters from three halls who attended. Crews entered the home through the front door and extinguished the fire at the back of the house.
No one was home at the time. Crews were on scene for the next three hours looking for hot spots.
There is no loss of value of the structure.
The fire is under investigation.
