The Prince George Fire Fighters' Burn Fund Cycle Tour is taking a new direction.
After three years of pedaling 274 kilometres to Dragon Lake, southeast of Quesnel, they'll be heading east to Jasper, a four-day, 375-kilometre trip that will start next Monday morning from the No. 1 Fire Hall next to city hall.
But the reason remains the same - to raise money for the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund.
"Funds raised will help benefit burn survivors in Northern BC as well as throughout the province," said tour spokesperson Kelly Henderson.
Over the past few years, this event has raised more than $20,000 and so far this year they've raised $2,700 through two barbecues.
