The annual Ness Lake Fire Dept. Boot Hockey Tournament took place Saturday. Firefighters skated in full firefighting gear and raised $760 for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The team from Pilot Mountain won their first championship, defeating the reigning champs from Ness Lake Hall. Teams from Pineview and Buckhorn also participated.
