A fire at a two-storey condominium complex in the 200 block of East Central Street Friday afternoon resulted in damage estimated at $200,000.
Twenty-two firefighters from four Prince George Fire Rescue halls responded to the call at about 3:33 p.m. Friday and upon arrival found heavy smoke and fire coming from the front and back of one of the condo units.
According to assistant chief Dan Pears, quick suppression action from the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other units. Crews were on the scene for two hours.
There were no injuries to firefighters but two civilians suffered cuts and abrasions after they broke windows t escape the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not deemed suspicious.
