With a little help from a quick-thinking passerby, Prince George Fire Rescue was able to contain to the garage a fire that broke at a College Heights home early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to 7885 Queens Cres. at 1:40 a.m. after the passerby alerted the home's owners who were asleep at the time.
They found the structure fully involved but, while there was some damage to the garage itself, it was largely limited to the contents inside, adding up to about $30,000, PGFR said.
No one was injured.
