Find the perfect summer job

Service Canada Centre for Youth now open

Summer is on its way and young people are on the hunt for a job to provide them with work experience and cash in hand.

The Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY) can help connect youth with employers.

Today is the official start to the centre's opening week. Representatives will be visiting high schools during their lunch hours and various other locations in the afternoon on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The centre provides young people with job postings, interview advice, rsum building and job search strategies and employers with a location to post job openings. There are various options from part time and full time work to casual labour.

Employers and youth can visit the Prince George SCCY between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1363 4th Ave., or call 250-561-5200 ext. 329. Job postings are available online at www.jobbank.gc.ca.
