Ferry Strobl Day set for Powder King

A day of family fun is set for tomorrow at Powder King when ski hill celebrates Ferry Strobl Snow Day.

A day of family fun is set for tomorrow at Powder King when ski hill celebrates Ferry Strobl Snow Day.

The event is named after one of the pioneers of establishing skiing in the Pine Pass and it also

ties into World Snow Day, typically the third Sunday in January.

The day features free ski and snowboard lessons, free guided snowshoe tours along the newly developed snowshoe trails at the resort and half price rentals.

In addition, resort staff has a number of activities geared towards families that include snow graffiti, snowshoe pop can Races, ice cube scavenger hunt and much more. The day concludes with birthday cake and hot chocolate around the fire.

The Ferry Strobl Snow Day starts with families getting their rentals at 8 am and lessons commencing at 9 am.
