The Ness Lake Recreation Commission is receiving $15,003 to improve accessibility at the Ness Lake Community Hall, Prince George-Peace River MP Bob Zimmer said this week.
The funding will go towards constructing an accessible ramp and deck, extending the existing roof to cover the deck and ramp, and installing new drainage.
"Our government recognizes the abilities of all Canadians and is committed to removing barriers to participation for people with disabilities," said Zimmer in a press release.
"We are proud to work with the Ness Lake Recreation Commission which is helping residents gain greater access to facilities, programs, and services in their community."
