Two people on a snow mobile on Carp Lake Road near MacLeod Lake, B.C. went off the road into a wooded area when the driver lost control.
The passenger, a 32-year-old MacLeod Lake resident sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and the driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Both people were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.
The name of the deceased has not been released at the request of the family.
The B.C. coroner's office in Prince George and the Mackenzie RCMP are continuing the investigation.
