A 79-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night.
According to the Prince George RCMP, emergency personnel responded to Winnipeg Street between Ninth and 11th Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. The woman was sent to UHNBC with severe injuries, but died while being treating in hospital.
The affected section of Winnipeg Street is currently closed to traffic while a North District RCMP Collision Reconstructionist assists with the investigation.
The driver remains on scene and is co-operating with police.
