Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder has become almost a household phrase in northern B.C., although a new one.
The abuse of alcohol and the incidental use of it during pregnancy causes FASD, a disorder that is proving, through research in the region, to be a significant factor in the area's society. This is what the Northern Family Health Society is focusing an information session on.
