For the fourth year in a row, many British Columbians will have the day off to spend quality time with their families.
Prince George is in the middle of five days of festival full of activities and Monday is no different.
Here's a run-down of today's Celebrate Prince George Winter Festival schedule for Family Day and more:
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Family Day Fun at Otway offers: try cross country skiing and snowshoeing at a discount with optional lessons and hotdog lunch.
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Free Family Day at Ness Lake: there's sledding, a climbing wall, heated gym and more. A hot lunch and snack are included so organizers ask participants to try and book ahead.
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Free Family Day at Northern Sport Centre: that says it all. Spend time together as a family and get fit
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Behind the lines by Bil Horne at Two Rivers Gallery
11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Family Day at the Family Fun Centre at 2588 Recreation Place. An arcade, carnival games, mechanical bull and more.
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- Moose Trail Easy Snowshoe: the Caledonia Ramblers are leading an easy and free two hour round trip snowshoe adventure to moose trail near Ginter's Field.
1 p.m.
- CANCELLED: Outdoor Ice Oval free skate due to warm weather
5:30 p.m.
- Free Group Power Class: this class is for ages 13 and up. Thirteen to 15 year olds need an adult with them.
7 p.m.
- Chinese New Year Fireworks: head to Exploration Place's parking lot to feel the heat of the fireworks, put on by Starlight FX.
