The pilot killed in an Alberta helicopter crash has been identified as a Prince George man.
Matthew Goodine, 28, was confirmed as the pilot who succumbed to his injuries after a Bell 260 helicopter went down on Grotto Mountain near Canmore.
Canmore RCMP were notified of the crash around 1 p.m. Friday. The five people on board were transported to a Calgary hospital, but Goodine passed away en route.
The remaining four passengers, tourists from the U.K., were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from hospital.
The helicopter was operated by Kananaskis Mountain Helicopters.
