Prince George's annual Seedy Saturday takes place this weekend at The Exploration Place atrium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Gather together, along with other garden and farm enthusiasts, to swap seeds or buy them, and check out what's new in the growing world.
Purchase local produce from the Good Food Box, get questions answered by David Douglas Botanical Garden Society master gardeners and find out how to successfully grow during a short season with information provided by Melanie Watts who wrote the book on it.
Information booths will be hosted by The Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society, Enhance PG that will have a free draw for a greenhouse, and Beyond the Market that features a mobile bookstore.
The PG Seed Collective will oversee the seed swap while the Tomato King, Pete Amyoony sells 180 different types of tomato seeds as Community Gardens Prince George sells seeds.
Sharing knowledge is what Seedy Saturday is all about so presenters are scheduled.
10:30 a.m. The Secrets of Propagation with Andrea Eastham
11:30 a.m. Seed Saving for Survival with Pete Amyoony
1:00 p.m. The Dirt on Urban Soils with Grace Morrice
