Josh Massey and Tree Bomb will appear at Cafe Voltaire Friday. Mark your calendar for a very special event as Telkwa writer Josh Massey launches his new book, We Will All Be Trees, a hilarious and illuminating insider's report on tree planting culture, combined with a biotech mystery. A performance by the band Tree Bomb will follow. The event starts at 8 p.m. and is free as always on Friday nights at 1685 Third Avenue.

There is a nightclub dance party at the Raven Haven, 421 George Street, Friday night at 8. DJ Mihly will present great dance and house music, along with a club laser light show. There is no alcohol or drugs, and chips and drinks will be for sale. Tickets are $10 for all ages.

Butterfly Threads and Vanilla present a spring fashion show Wednesday to raise funds for the P.G. Hospice Society. The dinner and fashion show begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Coast Inn. Tickets are $75 and available at Hospice, Books & Co., and Butterfly Threads and Vanilla. Door prizes and a silent auction, too.

For the final days of the Olympics, when the building is available, the games will be displayed on the CN Centre's full-screen video score clock. Viewing availability works around Cougars games, as well as CN Centre ice users. On Feb. 28 - the CN Centre hosts a free special event as we bring Prince George together to watch the men's gold medal hockey game. For more information visit www.cncentre.ca.

The Friends of Leora Wildi committee has organized a fundraiser dinner dance and silent auction at the Treasure Cove Casino March 6, with band Andy & Dave providing the entertainment. Tickets are $40 each, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to help offset the expenses of Leora's leukemia treatment. Tickets are available at Koops Bikes. The Leora Wildi trust account has been established at the Integris Credit Union and the account number is 699694-01 and anyone wishing to donate can do so. Koops Bikes is also taking bottle donations to help with the fundraising effort.
