An Endako man has pleaded guilty to four sex-related charges, RCMP said Tuesday.

Neil Leonard Litke, 62, remains in the community on strict conditions and will be sentenced at a later date.

The counts stem from an investigation that began in April 2021, when RCMP received a report that a female youth had disclosed to her family that she had been touched inappropriately.

In all, Litke was subsequently charged with four counts of sexual assault and two counts of touching for a sexual purpose from alleged incidents involving eight reported victims and spanning form 1971 to 2021.

Police are encouraging anyone else who may have been a victim, no matter how long ago, to contact Cst. Carolyn Braun at Fraser Lake RCMP.

We realize this is a traumatic situation, however, there are support groups in place that can offer assistance to victims of sexual assault, said Fraser Lake RCMP Sgt Jason Rumming.

Fraser Lake RCMP can be reached at 250-699-7777.

Tips can also be left anonymously at Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only).
