An advisory warning of high amounts of dust in the city's air remains in effect as of Tuesday morning.

It was issued Monday afternoon, by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health and about seven hours after a previous advisory had been rescinded. That one had lasted three days.

"Persons with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise near busy roads until the advisory is lifted," officials said in the advisory. "If you are experiencing symptoms such as continuing eye or throat irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cough or wheezing, follow the advice of your health care provider."
