A 53-year-old local woman faces charges following a drunken and wild drive in Central Fort George on Tuesday.

Called just after 4 p.m. to a report of a possible impaired driver on Alward Street and Laurier Crescent, policer were told a driver of a Dodge Dakota pickup truck collided with several vehicles, barriers and even buildings as she negotiated her way down the road.

"One witness was able to remove the keys from the vehicle once it was stopped and as police were being called," RCMP said and added no one was hurt.

RCMP said the woman, whose name was not released, blew nearly three times the legal limit when she provided breath samples at the detachment.

She was issued a driving prohibition and released on a promise to appear in court on January 3.
