Prince George RCMP arrested seven people and seized quantities of heroin and crack cocaine after executing a search warrant on a home in the VLA neighbourhood on Wednesday evening.
Members of the detachment's crime reduction team, downtown enforcement unit and drug section moved in on the rental property in the 2200 block of Upland Street shortly after 5 p.m. and arrested five women and two men without incident.
Evidence of drug trafficking were also seized, Cpl. Craig Douglass said.
Names of the suspects were not made available Thursday. All were released from custody pending court appearances in March.
Tips from the public supported the search warrant, Douglass said.
"It is through these types of collaborative partnerships that criminal drug activity is effectively reduced," he said.
