A 23-year-old Prince George man faces several charges in connection to an Aug. 7 drug bust and seizure at a home in the Millar Addition.
On Aug. 7, Prince George RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of Kenwood Street and found a large quantity of fentanyl and cocaine, as well as several firearms.
Police determined there was enough to produce 760 doses of fentanyl and more than 100 doses of cocaine. Together, it is estimated they would generate more than $35,000 in drug revenues.
“These quantities are concerning to police in Prince George, especially in light of the ongoing opioid crisis,” said Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
Damiond Rain Craig Sutherland of Prince George was arrested and the Public Prosecution Service of Canada has determined he will be charged in connection with the seizure.
Sutherland faces two charges possession for the purposes of trafficking and is also charged with unauthorized possession of a loaded, restricted firearm and one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Sutherland is known to police. The file is currently before the courts.
