Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for the driver of a stolen minivan who fled on foot following a collision with a pickup truck on Monday morning.
Police, who were called to the scene on First Avenue, west of Victoria Street, at 6:45 a.m., said the driver of the minivan lost control in the snow and spun into the path of the full-size pickup, which was heading west on First Avenue.
The minivan's driver took off on foot. Police tracked his footprints to the Seventh Avenue and Brunswick Street area but were unable to locate him.
Later that morning, police received a report the minivan was stolen in the northern part of the city.
A description of the suspect is sparse - a male wearing a high-visibility shirt or jacket.
