The Drive-Thru breakfast Friday at Costco earned yielded CNIB $7,735, but that total is expected to rise to about $8,000 with the sales of Costco's surplus breakfast bags.
Last year the event earned $10,600 which included $9,600 from Drive-Thru donations and $1,000 in corporate donations, said Jeff Elder, CNIB regional manager who thanks everyone who participated.
"CNIB values these donations as we depend on them for the majority of our funding to offer services for people with vision loss," said Elder.
The winner of the grand prize of airfare for two courtesy of Uniglobe Sunburst Travel and Cruises Ltd. was Cheryl Hora of Canada Post.
