The power was knocked out for hundreds of customers in downtown Prince George late Friday morning.

According to B.C. Hydro, 316 customers have been affected east of Alward Street, south of Victoria Street, west of Ash Street and north of Porter Avenue (see map) after a motor vehicle accident at about 11:18 a.m. A Facebook photo shows a downed power pole near the courthouse.

As of 12:15 p.m., crews remained on site working to restore power.
