Another local business is stepping up for the Prince George community.
Girlfriends Facial and Brow Bar has announced this Sunday (Dec. 8), it will be hosting a fundraiser to help residents in the VLA area by donating funds to a local kitchen.
The owner of the beauty business, Aneet Brar, will donate all the money raised from services, including facial threading (ancient art of hair removal), facials, eyebrow tints and eyelash tents, will be given directly to Guru Nanak's Free Food Langar (2225 Victoria St.).
Aneet moved to Prince George a few years ago with her family and says she's been incredibly grateful for the warm reception from the community that she wants to give back to the community.
Girlfriends will also accept donations on Sunday of canned goods, warm clothes, socks, winter gear and non-perishable food items for the Langar.
The fundraiser is taking place at its downtown Prince George location only (835 Victoria St.).
