Police are investigating a shooting incident in the VLA.

Called to a 2000-block Tamarack home at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, RCMP arrived to find a dead dog in the driveway and evidence of gun shots both inside and outside the home.

However, the shooter had fled the scene and the home's occupants were uncooperative.

At 4:20 a.m., RCMP were called a Cuddie Crescent home where ambulance personnel came across a 20-year-old man who had suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds that investigators believe were from the incident on Tamarack.

Search warrants were executed on both homes.

"Through investigation, officers believe this was a targeted attack as a result of a personal disagreement between persons known to each other," RCMP said. "There is no evidence to support that this incident was related to the drug trade."
