A commercial business on Vancouver Street was targeted by an armed robber, early Wednesday evening.

The Dog Gone Bakery on Vancouver Street was entered at about 4:30 p.m. by a suspect described as being a First Nations youth in his early 20s.

"Investigators believe that a lone male entered the business, produced a knife and demanded cash," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "The employee was co-operative and the suspect fled the scene with a small amount of cash."

Investigators, including a police service dog, came to search the scene but were unable to locate the suspect.

The youth had what witnesses called bushy eyebrows wearing a black bandana and baseball cap. He also had on a black puffy jacket and a gold ring on his right hand. He had medium build and was about five-foot-eight.
