The dog days of autumn take over the Prince George Agriplex this weekend when some of the best agility teams in all of Canada compete in speedy canine action.

Hosted by Prince George's Top Dog Agility organization and local SPCA, an AAC sanctioned trial competition will entertain Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to about 5 p.m.

Agility is a canine sport featuring dogs running obstacle courses while being guided by their human handlers. Competing dogs will range from two to about 13 years old and will include many competitors that attended the Canadian National Championships in Calgary this summer.

The dog and human teams actually compete in six different games and the public can learn about them by coming to the equestrian arena at the Exhibition Grounds. Admission is by donation.
