NDP leader Adrian Dix will be in Prince George this morning, offering updates on efforts to have a public, independent inquiry in the Babine Forest Products explosion.
Dix will be joined by Opposition labour critic Harry Bains at the Coast Inn of the North session.
On Monday, Dix and Bains met with families of those affected by the January 2012 sawmill blast in Burns Lake.
In early January, the provincial Crown determined it couldn't proceed with criminal charges because some evidence collected by WorkSafeBC might not hold up in court.
A coroner's inquest into the explosion that killed two and injured 19 others was announced earlier this year, but the NDP have said that inquest won't go far enough.
WorkSafeBC handed over its investigation into the April 2012 Lakeland Mills explosion to the Crown in late February. The Crown has until April 22 to make a decision in that case.
