The B.C. Jobs Plan mobile display was in Prince George Sunday and Monday as part of an 11-community provincial tour.

The interactive display - featuring three touch-screen interfaces - was set up at Pine Centre Mall. The goal of the tour is to promote the B.C. Jobs Plan and the online job information available at www.bcjobsplan.ca, spokesperson Marbie Alura said.

"The goal is to connect both employees to job listings and services, and employers to post jobs," Alura said. "There is a really good job search tool."

In addition, the site offers information about the B.C.'s regional economies; industries including forestry, mining and transportation; and a forum for employers, workers and residents to share their thoughts and knowledge about various employment sectors.

"There is some really great opportunities... and new investments happening in B.C.," Alura said.

Speaking early Sunday, Alura said she hoped to see, "all 76,000," residents of Prince George at the display.
