The first of what is hoped to be many flights between Prince George and Victoria took to the air when Pacific Coastal Airlines' inaugural trip landed at Monday evening at the airport.

“I flew in on the new non-stop service and it was a very comfortable, quick flight," Prince George Airport Authority chief executive officer John Gibson said.

"The cabin is very roomy and we are extremely excited locals can get to the Island in only an hour and a half. We look forward to working with Pacific Coastal on this making this new service a success.”

It departs Victoria at 5 p.m. arriving into Prince George at 6:40 p.m. In turn, it leaves Prince George 7:05 p.m, and arrives back in Victoria at 8:45 p.m.

Seats on this flight start at $150 each way. Reservations can be made by phoning the Pacific Coastal call centre at 1.800.663.2872, visiting a local travel agent or booking online at pacificcoastal.com.
