Anyone with questions about diabetes will have a chance to have them answered on Saturday as the Canadian Diabetes Association hosts its Everything Diabetes event.
Information will be available on risk factors for the disease, new tools for helping to manage the condition and services available in the community including the Ness Lake Family Camp for families of children with Type 1 diabetes. There will also be prizes available for those who stop by and check out the booths.
In addition, flu shots will also be available for those interested in receiving the vaccine.
Organizers are encouraging people who have diabetes or who are at risk of getting the disease to check out the displays.
The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Kiwanis Centre, 490 Quebec St.
