A second man has been sentenced for an armed robbery of a Prince George restaurant last fall.

Terrance Aaron Abraham received a jail term of 18 months in provincial court on Monday for the Nov. 19 robbery of the Denny's restaurant on Central Street East.

Abraham also received three years probation and was issued a lifetime firearms prohibition.

Slightly less than a month after the robbery, Joseph Donald West was sentenced to four years in jail.

Police reported at the time that two masked men entered the restaurant at about 3 a.m. brandishing a machete and a large kitchen knife and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the till and from a waitress before fleeing in a stolen pickup truck.

West, who had credit for 26 days time served prior to sentencing, has a history of robberies.

His record includes a sentence to one year in jail and three years probation in February 2007 for robbery, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and disguising his face with intent to commit a crime. He was also given 60 days in jail for possession of stolen property under $5,000, committed in February 2003 and 30 days for resisting arrest, committed in July 2008.

In March 2010, Abraham, who also goes by the name Terrance Abraham Nicholas, was sentenced to two months in jail for possession of a controlled substance, willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

In 2006, he received 14 days for two counts of failing to appear pursuant to a notice.
