Former Prince George resident and author, Denise Chong is coming home to talk about her new book, Egg on Mao.
It's the story of an ordinary man who dared to deface the icon of Chairman Mao Zedong with paint-filled eggs, and in so doing, unmasked a dictatorship in China.
Chong, who lives in Ottawa, will be at Books and Co., 1685 Third Ave., at 7 p.m. March 22.
She is also the author of her family memoir, The Concubine's Children, and the story of Kim Phuc in The Girl in the Picture, who survived being napalmed in the Vietnam War .
