A Prince George man was sentenced to a further 33 days in jail and prohibited from driving for two years for ramming an RCMP vehicle with a stolen pickup truck.
Garth Andrew Lee, 25, was issued the term Wednesday in Prince George provincial court for the October 2016 incident in the Central Fort George neighbourhood.
At the time, police said the vehicle was seen being heading on 12th Avenue near Harper Street. When officers attempted to pull the pickup over, the driver rammed a police vehicle and fled the scene.
A few minutes later, the truck's two occupants - Lee and another man - abandoned the vehicle in an alley between Alward Street and Wainwright Street, then fled on foot.
A police service dog team was called in and for a few minutes the two were tracked over a number of fences and through residential yards until they were located in the 100 block of Carney Street without incident.
Lee was also sentenced to 18 months probation on the count, as well as for possession of stolen property over $5,000.
The probation also applies to convictions for driving while disqualified and flight from a peace officer from a March 12 incident while out on bail.
He was also assessed $1,100 of which $500 was for breaching his conditions while out on bail.
Lee was had spent a total of 218 days in custody prior to sentencing.
A trial for co-accused Tyler James Edgars, 23, on the matter is set to start in November.
