A 1998 black F150 pick up truck struck a parked 1995 Ford Mustang in the 900 block of Irwin Street just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Initial reports stated the pick up had hit a tree or building but when police responded to the call they discovered the pickup had hit the Mustang then another pick up parked in a driveway further up the street before narrowly missing a ground-level front window of an apartment building's occupied suite.
The driver of the F150, a 55-year-old Prince George resident, fled the scene before police arrived but was located a short time later at a nearby residence with assistance from witnesses.
The suspected male driver was detained by police for investigation of suspected impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The alleged driver was arrested and is anticipated to be facing charges related to failing to remain at the scene of a collision and failing to provide a breath sample.
