A 35-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 393 days in jail for the offences committed during the Prince George leg of a crime spree that began in Dawson Creek.
James Alan Webb was arrested January 7, after RCMP in this city received a report of theft of a flat deck trailer, worth about $10,000, went missing from an address on on Highway 97 in the Hart.
It ended about 6 1/2 hours later when he was arrested near the Prince George Playhouse. Driving an allegedly stolen pickup truck, he had collided with a police vehicle and tried to flee on foot.
Webb had remained in custody since his arrest.
He was also sentenced to 18 months on a series of theft and dangerous driving offences committed in Dawson Creek, similar to those committed in Prince George.
He was also prohibited from driving for 10 years and ordered to pay $2,700 in victim surcharges.
In all, Webb was sentenced on 17 convictions.
